Just bought this for myself on Christmas morning. Looking forward to reading! I’m a former Dave Ramsey follower (it’s a long story) and I’m still trying to re-wire my brain from the deep shameful programming of Christian right wing financial advice. Thank you for offering an alternative!
Work hard and deny yourself to build wealth no matter what, no debt (not even a mortgage), no credit cards, eat “rice and beans” to save, pay off debt, etc if necessary, save for yourself and household before giving to others. Any bad financial choices are your fault and you should have known better. If you do all the “right” things it will payoff. Do not use government assistance. Amass wealth so you don’t have to (lots of bootstrapping advice). God helps those who helps themselves type stuff. This isn’t every “Christian financial guru” but it was/ is how the one I followed taught. Some explicit, some implicit lessons.
I shall get my local library, here in London, to order a couple copies. If they do not, or cannot (they run a tight budget) then, I will buy them a copy or two or three.
