I’ve been unable to check in for a while, and here’s why: I’ve been selling my house!
In my last money date, I mentioned I’d signed a listing agreement with a real estate agent. That was in early September; by Sep. 14 we’d accepted an offer, and the buyer wanted to close by Oct. 19. So it’s been a busy time.
I don’t even have a new home yet.
Instead of my normal check in, I’ll dedicate my whole money date today to my house-selling experience — the listing, the offer, the stipulations, where I’m living for now and what I’m doing with the money instead of buying another house.
💡 A money date is an exercise I crafted for You Don’t Need a Budget. Subscribers can follow along in a private space after the paywall, and I encourage you to steal my questions to guide your own reflections!
