I love the idea of using personal values to guide spending. I was saving for a big goal, but that goal has changed, so now I feel comfortable spending the savings. Using my values as a guide feels like having guardrails to prevent overspending.

From 11 years in the wealth management industry I can say with certainty that financial success DOES NOT equal financial wellness. I will even go so far to say that financial wellness is more important! To me, that wellness is shaped by living and spending in alignment with one’s highest values and purpose. I love everything you say in this post: budget culture has really created a lot of weight and shame. It might make people rich but is it worth it if they aren’t happy and always stressed? I’ve added your book and Buy What You Love to my cart ☺️
