Money Date No. 9: Overworked and fine with it
I chose this. Also, am I supposed to feel shame for online purchases?
This week is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S. (Is that reference too old? I’m honestly not even quoting the 2004 Gwen Stefani song anymore, but an episode of The Office where Kelly quotes the Gwen Stefani song, does that help?)
I started recording the audiobook for You Don’t Need a Budget on Monday, I had a full slate of freelance assignments and our media plan for the Wisconsin Assembly campaign I’m managing launched full force. And we installed a mini HVAC unit in our garage-studio, and our county Dems had a meeting with the state party chair and campaign finance reports took extra long because of some delay in the online system.
I haven’t slept well.
I knew October would be like this, and here we are. Launching a book and getting involved in swing-state politics in the same year was never going to be easy — but I only have to do both for the next 32 days. Times like these call for setting other worries aside and just getting the job done. These are exactly the periods when I’m incredibly grateful to not think about money.
