This is a new kind of conversation about money

Healthy Rich is a platform for inclusive, budget-free financial education. We publish, produce and host projects from budding creators whose voices we don’t hear enough in personal finance media, like BIPOC, women, LGBTQ+ and people with disabilities.

About Healthy Rich

We’re building a platform to make financial education more inclusive of real-world experiences and accessible to the people everyone else leaves out of the conversation about money.

We operate on a fundamental belief that work should be fun, and money should be easy.

Personal finance gurus have mucked up our relationship with money with a damaging set of beliefs we call budget culture — and we want out.

Our mission is to break free from that paradigm and make money better. For everyone.

We don’t give directives about the “right” way to manage money, because we know no way is right for everyone. We make space for perspectives on work and money to help you discover which moves make sense for you.

About our founder

Dana Miranda is a Certified Educator in Personal Finance with a background in personal finance journalism and content marketing for fintech. She's written about work and money for publications including Forbes, Insider, The New York Times, CNBC, NextAdvisor and a column for Inc. Magazine.

Dana has been working since January 2020 as a freelance writer and editor for finance and personal development brands. Before that, she spent four years as a staffer at a media startup, where she helped build the company’s branded content team and newsletter strategy. She started her career as a starving freelance writer and barista for five years, earning about $12,000 a year and living on the road with her partner, who worked as a stand-up comedian at the time.

In 2021, Dana launched Healthy Rich as a passion project to diversify voices in personal finance. She quickly fell in love with the community and storytelling happening on the platform and decided to pursue the business full time.

As a newsletter subscriber, you can get updates on the business of building Healthy Rich and notes from Dana as she makes the transition from freelance writer to full-time founder.
